The Services of the consultant shall consist in undertaking the Mekong-Bassac Hydrological and Hydraulic Study within the framework of the implementation of WAT4CAM Program, Sub-Component 3.1. Better understanding of hydrological and hydraulic systems, that includes (i) the development of computational framework for hydraulic analysis, (ii) flood risk and low flow assessment, (iii) impact analysis of the Preks selected in WAT4CAM program phase 1 and (iv) capacity building for MoWRAM. The results of this study should be used in the elaboration of a preks masterplan. The objectives of this study are:
i) Carry out a comprehensive assessment of the hydraulic system of the Upper Mekong delta river basin No. 7 that include the provinces of Kandal, Takeo, Kampong Cham and Prey Veng), including Mekong and Bassac rivers and using state-of art hydraulic modelling, and
ii) Provide inputs and recommendations for designing program of rehabilitation of preks and master plan.
