Types of Notices
In our database there are several different types of procurement
notices. Notice type is determined by what is
procured and by the contract awarding procedure. These are the most common types
Anunţ Preliminar de Licitaţie (GPN)
Prior Information Notice, sometimes called general procurement notice or periodic indicative notice,
is issued by some buyers to indicate that tenders (invitations to bid) are soon to follow.
Procurement Plan (PP)
Cerere de oferte (RFP)
An Invitation for Bids, invitation to tender, or contract notice, informs
suppliers that bidding documents are available and provides them with information on
availability of bidding documents, deadlines and other details of tendering procedures.
Anunţ de Preselecţie (PPN)
An Invitation for Prequalification is issued when complex and detailed
bids are required. IPQs inform suppliers that prequalification for a contract is open and
invites them to apply. Only those suppliers who prequalify will be issued an invitation to
bid on that contract at a future date. Prequalification is common for complex
construction projects, turnkey plants and some specialized goods, such as complex
information technology systems.
Cerere pentru Exprimarea Interesului (REI)
Requests for Expressions of Interest provide consultants with
general information about upcoming consulting
assignments and invite firms to submit information on their capacity to perform the
assignment. This information is used to help
create a short list of qualified firms that will be issued the formal request for proposals.
Acordarea Contractului (CA)
Once a contract is awarded, the purchase authority publishes a
contract award notice for this contract. Contract award notices provide information on
the date the contract was awarded, the name of the successful supplier and the value
of the contract.
